I'm beginning to seriously think I have this. My son (age 16) had it, my dad, although never diagnoised HAD to have it. One look at him and you'd know, so I've been thinking, maybe this is also my problem. I can't stay on ONE task for more than 15 minutes. Sure, I always go back to it, but I can't seem to stay focused.
I've been negelecting my writing lately and finally decided I needed a daily goal. So, I made one. 1,500 words a day. Surely I can do that, right? I mean, I don't work outside the home. I sit at the computer most of the day, so why couldn't I do this?
Short attention span, that's why!
I've written a whole 28 words today on my WIP. I've been at the computer for - 7 hours now, and I've written a whole 28 words?!
I've played with the blog, browsed the Romance Diva's Forum, checked out the review sites for new books coming out, played with the grandbaby, Hayden, made my usual stops on the net and checked emails relentlessly.
Oh, and I wrote 28 words on my ms!!
Its a never ending cycle, one I need to find a remedy for soon or I'll never get anything done. Maybe I just need to kill my internet connction? lol As painful as that seems, it may be the ONLY way to stay focused.

Fat and Sassy
Don't you just LOVE Thanksgiving? All that food, endless desserts and the left-overs! Yummy!
Of course, if I have to eat another turkey sandwich, I'll probably heave. LOL There's only so many days you can eat it without needing a little change.
We had a very nice gathering here. My family came over Thursday for our yearly feast. Mom cooked way to much, as usual, but I wasn't complaining! I could eat potato salad every day and never grow tired of it.
We invited our friends over for Friday evening dinner. Not everyone showed up, sadly, but it was still a good time. We talked, stuffed ourselves and watched some movies. One perk of not having everyone show was the number of kids was cut in half! Eight kids is MUCH better than twelve! Especially when most of those are under age 12.
I opted out on 'Black Friday'. I HATE crowds and having someone knock me down to get to Malibu Barbie and her new dream car isn't my idea of fun. I much prefer to hit the 24-hour stores and go after midnight. Less people, less traffic on the roads and most of the time - the shelves are restocked, or being stocked as I shop.
I know the coming weeks will be hectic here - they always are around this time for everyone, but I must admit--I love this time of year! The music, the lights, the home baked goodies...it's the end of a year and time to reflect on the last eleven months. I know I've realized more than a few areas in my life I want to change. Hopfully with the new year approaching I can take the steps to make that happen.
As always, time will tell.

Must. Have. Sleep.
Ahh...Thanksgiving Holiday! The turkey is thawing, most of the ingredients are gathered, the kids are out of school, and guess who gets stuck baby-sitting? That's right - ME! The joy of having a 6 year old with nothing to do.
My niece, Peyton, is here for the day. I love her dearly, but lord help me she drives me batshit crazy! The child does NOT know how to be quiet. She has done nothing since she walked in the door but ask me questions.
Now, I'm not a morning person - At. All. I stay up late writing most nights. Last night it was 5am before I hit the bed. Of course, I forgot Peyton was coming or I would have made it an early night. So, imagine my state of mind. 2 hours of sleep and a roudy 6 year old? Bad-moody wouldn't even begin to describe it. lol
What's a loving aunt to do?
Bite her toungue and answer the enourmous amounts of endless questions with something that half-way resembles a smile on her face.
I have 30 people showing up here on Friday for dinner and I still have tons to do to prepare. A few 'last minute' ingredients to go buy, another run through cleaning (my GROWN kids, ages 16 & 18, are like 4 year olds when it comes to cleaning) and a trip to the video store to get a few childrens movies to try and keep the youngsters entertained.
And people wonder why I never find time to write during the day. lol

The Bug is back!
The writing bug, that is! Let's hope he doesn't slither off any time soon.
Managed to write 2,000 words today. Yes, I know it isn't a massive amount but with the big nothing I've written the past couple of weeks, I'm thrilled. I actually moved the story along! My brain shut down about twenty minutes ago, hence me posting here, but I'll open it back up tomorrow and see what happens.
I have a short story I'm working on too. I'm actually thinking of putting it up as a free read. Those are always fun. Not sure how 'erotic' to make it though. Maybe - slightly? Would that be juicy enough to intice anyone to read it? If you're like me, if you can get past the first couple of paragraphs, I'm hooked no matter how juicy it is.
I sent out my first newsletter today. Nothing fancy as I still don't know what to put in them but I posted an excerpt from my current WIP 'Destined Hearts', so if you're interested in reading that, then head over to the yahoo group. You can find it here---> http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lily_graison/

Playing Catch Up
I hadn't realized it had been since October since I'd posted. Things have been - crazy here. The normal writier's block followed by a lazy streak then my husband diagnoised with Type 2 Diabetes. Its a non-ending cycle seems like.
But, I have been writing today! It's not much but after the last couple weeks, I'll take a couple hundreds words. Its better than the big fat nothing I have been doing. I've also been thinking about titles. I hate naming books. To me, its the hardest part. One of my current works in progress has been named for a while, but - I think it needs a change. It needs to be something more - simple. The working title is Hearts of Destiny. I'd like to shorten it to just - Destined, but my friends said Destined Hearts was better. Descisions, descisions. lol
On a completely different note - A Touch of Heaven has had another review. Coffee Times gave it '4 cups'. I didn't even know the review was posted. Makes me wonder how many other reviews are out there that I don't know about.
Okay, enough for now. I'm in the middle of this story and I'm not stopping until I write another 1,000 words. I have ELO playing, so hopfully it'll be enough to keep me going.
