It's Gone!

I finally have another story finished up and sent on its merry way into sbumission-land. A short story this time. I don't know why, but sending those things off make me ill. My hands shake and my stomach starts tightening. I think I may be overly dramatic or something. lol But - it's all done now. I just have to wait to hear back from them. Of course, their response time is 90 days, so I'll probably forget about sending it by the time they get to it. *wink*

Now it's back to the novels. I'm torn between which I want to work on. The paranormal is just - wicked fun - but it really gives me a fit! The characters are all prima-donnas. They argue too much inside my head so I find myself just letting them fight it out silently and work on something else. Plus, I procrastinate with it too. This is the one I'm going to try for 'print' and if it isn't ever finished, I won't have to be rejected, right? Viscious cycle, that. But...on the other hand, if I don't at least try, I'll never KNOW if it was good enough.

work and contest

I've been hard at work on a new erotic short story. I'm toying with the idea of submitting this one, but if my inner critic starts throwing doubt my way, I'll post it on my website instead. I have a whole page of notes of short stories. Of course, ole' Benny would rather work on those than the longer ones and I'm not sure how to get him over that other than - let him win. I'm 1/3 way through my contemporary romance and just tickling the keys on my paranormal so, the short stories may be the way to go for now. Maybe if the muse wins out on what he wants to write, I'll at least get something done.

I also wanted to remind everyone of the Valentine's Day contest! You have (4) more days to join my newsletter to be eligible to win. A gift pack full of goodies awaits (2) lucky winners, so go sign up to be in the running for that.

Just go here---> http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lily_graison/ to sign up.
